Adaptive Bikes
One of our great pleasures in the shop has long been helping riders with a wide range of abilities to enjoy the joy of cycling. We have extensive experience with riders with a variety of disabilities and special needs, both adult and young people. From modifying standard bikes and trikes to providing purpose-built adaptive cycles, we can work with you to find the best solution to get you riding or keep you riding, regardless of your level of ability.
BerkelBike
A unique product that can be pedaled with your arms or legs, or both, the Berkelbike is a great cycle for a variety of different disabilities, including spinal injuries, multiple sclerosis, amputations, and brain injuries. An added feature is that it can break down for easy transportation!
Hase
Hase offers a variety of cycles and accessories that serve riders of all abilities and needs. From their Pino tandem (which puts the “stoker” in front in plain view of the captain, making communication easier) and Trigo and Kettwiesel trikes (the latter is even available as a hand cycle), to the many special pedals, harnesses, braces and other adaptive accessories, Hase is a real “go-to” when it comes to serving riders with disabilities.
Greenspeed
A recumbent trike maker with a very long history of great designs, Greenspeed offers the Magnum and Magnum XL for larger, heavier riders who may not find other trikes suitable. In addition, they now make the Hand Magnum hand cycle, a variation on their tried and true Magnum modified to be powered by the rider's arms instead of their legs.
